Hi Malcolm - and thanks for the good wishes

Yes, it's the main Parish Church in Stone. My "patch" will be 11,000 out of
a town of 15,000. This is the Church at the South Eastern corner of the town
centre, St Michael and St Wulfad.

As for having a canal in the patch - yes! For the first time in 22.5 years
of doing this. Hopefully this will be fun. But as to whether or not it was
designed for me, I cannot say. I do know I was asked to apply for it, but
this was a competitive interview with three candidates, the Church of
England catching up with modern employment practice!

Felicitations to all for the festive season. If listren wish to join the
"swearing in" service on January 18th at 7.30pm they would be more than
welcome of course
