Hi, I am getting the feeling that BW stoppages are being extended with the excuse that they are short of money, but with little thought about inconvenience to boaters.
i.e. Christmas closure at Armitage, and I now see that the closure of Audlem Bank has just been extended by two weeks to 2nd April. This has just disrupted my advertised cruises for the first month!! If the route is open I now have to go from Wolverhampton to Nantwich via Harecastle!! Will cost me bookings and involve more diesel, I'll have to employ crew for an extra week. I expect the bill will be up to £1,000 but none of this BW will pick up. Is there any way we can get BW to keep to its advertised stoppages. BW makes enough fuss when DEFRA forces it into changes.
