Day 15 - Saturday December 30th - Stone to Fradley
22 miles 2 furlongs, 9 locks, 8 hours 20 minutes
Weather - Fine initially, rain later

Set off from below Star lock at 6.40am. Not dark, just early dawn. I'm
never quite sure when the transition from late dusk to early dawn comes,
but I know that there's nothing between them. :-) The sun poked out
from behind some distant clouds shortly after we left Sandon lock at
8.10am. Beautiful morning as we cruised to and past Great Haywood
Junction at 10,10am. Around about the time we crossed the River Trent
Aqueduct (11.40am) it started to cloud over. Stopped in Rugeley for
half an hour to restock essential provisions. The rain started as soon
as we set off again. Saw the black swan again as we passed through
Handsacre. Passed King's Bromley boatyard at 2.20pm and through our
last lock of the day at 3.25pm before turning right at the junction.
Moored at the end of a long line of boats after passing through the
swingbridge. Off to the Swan at 7.00pm for the mini-GiG.
