Given the way viruses & trojans so often pretend to be from somebody other 
than the actual sender, I'd need more than just a name I recognised at the 
top to persuade me it was safe to open, unless it was something I knew in 
advance was coming, and I knew what it was.  On the whole the only .exe 
files I open are software downloads which I have ordered from reputable (in 
my estimation) dealers.
