In the vein of the other two posts - its a special device used by big
shiney boats to flatten batteries.

Seriousely though it should drive nearly any mains equipment you have
that draws less than 1.5kW or 6 amps. Pure sine wave inverters MIGHT
not give a waveform quiet as "pure" as the vendors suggets, so there
is a slight possibility that something realy sensative might play up,
but its a small chance.

Pure sine inverters seem to have a much lower tollereance to starting
surges so somthing close to the maximum load may start OK on a
mofified sine one, but yours might trip out - particularly things
with motors.

It will draw something in the region of 150 amps at full load so make
sure your battery bank is large enough to supply this without exces
internal voltdrop.

Probably not a good thing to use for charging phones & dry cells and
other very small loads because it may well take 3 or 4 amps just to
work itself and that makes it exceptionally inefficient.

Sometimes a small load might not force it to starst, so you may need
to put something else on as well.
