N Bear Nest update... We carried on (this had to be via Limehouse Cut / Lee / Hertford Union, as ther work has started on Salmons Lane Lock) and shared the locks to St Pancras Cruising Club with the Dave Pearce team on NB Gnashers II. After this we never caught up with the first two boats to leave, one of which were the Askin's on NB Shoestring. We stopped for the night on the free VM just above Hampstead Road Locks...as we wanted and early vistit to the Ice House Weatherspoons. Early to bed...surpringly quiet night at Camden Locks. Today we started off at 07:30 and had an uneventful spirited trip back to Harefield. It peed with rain all morning, so Neil escaped inside (excuse was that he does now NOT do the Paddington Arm...officially the TNC's "Most Boring" waterway). Trevor Burridge steered all the way from Camden to Bull's Bridge! Early arrival back at Harefield surprised the Muskies..."my" mooring had some other boat on it until tomorrow....maybe they now *really* believe that Earnest will only be here for another couple of months... -- Neil Arlidge - NB Earnest - The Wilderness years...
