We were told a while back that RE was determined from the outset to 
reduce BW's use of public funds, and I'm sure that that had a hand in 
his appointment. His background in the Landmark Trust would incline him 
to that approach, wouldn't it?

It's not just that BW are facing yet again assault by the civil 
servants of the Treasury, but that it's doing so with this Quisling 
figure at the helm urging them on.
