Yes, that's why I called it a quickie modification.  :-)

I don't get this on a right click, but a little window does open with
this option (and others) after a pause when you just move your cursor
over the pin symbol.  I hadn't noticed this before - very useful.

A possibly better way to continue would be - instead of emailing the
location, which is encoded - to use the right mouse button on the new pin
location, and select "center map here".  Then on the menu bar just above
the map, under "Share", select "View Permalink".  This provides an
address with the lat/long in it in plain text.  (The "Send link in
e-mail" under "Share" also shows the address with lat/long.)

Certainly looks right on the money in the aerial view, so I'll update
my map page.

Odd thing here, though, about live.com.  If you switch to the "Road",
then the canal is indicated in the wrong place!
