Hi all, Just back from the Anglers having dropped off some SOW event posters. Decided to have dinner there, Simon had a very good pheasant curry and I had Moroccan (?sp)lamb with 8 kinds of veg if you include the potatoes. Killer chocolate pud for afters (I was good, only had 3 spoonfuls of Simon's dessert). Very reasonable priced too. Beer as ever was on top form. I sampled a little Batemans XB and Simon stuck to Woodfords Nog. Had bring a take out of the Nog home.
Don't know which beers will be on yet for the weekend of the SOW protest but there's probably going to be a mild, a session bitter and a strong beer, possibly an old ale. You can see why they are in the CAMRA good beer and good food guide this year. There's now 4 bands lined up for the Saturday night, rock covers from what we know so far. Mini-fest the garden in the marquee. Grand Union is open between Ivinghoe and Boxmoor so any boats/boaters in the area very welcome to join us. Debbi nb TIAMI
