We tried just turning up... the lock was a) locked and b) I got a
roasting from Mr N for not letting them know. Coming back we phoned
ahead from Salter's Lode, overnighted at Upwell, but still had to hang
around at Marchmont while Mrs N did a school run.


Should be interesting for the National then, if she gets a years worth 
through in a month
