For a fiver a month you get their Live Box which is a wifi router unit which also offers VOIP without needing a computer plugged in and promises a print server function also directly from the box.
I've had mine running for a couple of weeks and it seems OK so far. Not 8mb but that's a function of the distance from the exchange not the package. ------------- And, you can get free phone calls from a landline to all 01,02 and 100 countries. I have been using the service for a few months and it seems fine. 8mb internet, lots of 'free' mobile calls and texts. I have had one or two small problems, which the help line ( in India ) has sorted out very well. I have a small problem at the moment. All works fine except the incoming calls on the landline does not ring the phone. The phone is fine when plugged directly into the socket so no problem with the phone itself. I phoned Orange today ( free on the mobile ) and the very helpful lady put it down to a faulty connection on one of the leads supplied and she is sending me a new one. She also talked me through the procedure for setting up the livebox when I get the new lead. I have bought a new wandering phone today, so that will make life easier still. I now have one landline which covers all internet ( connected and wireless ) and phone calls. That saves me money on no longer needing two landlines. Only slight downside is you get a new 0845 phone number instead of the BT old one, but looking at the website you can now have that redirected to any 01, 02 number or even your mobile if you are away. Would recommend to anybody. Regards, Andrew Web Site www.andrewdyke.co.uk Web Site www.mayorofevesham.co.uk
