I've put a brief account and a photo on the blog (nbsanity.blogspot.com) - it was a success, though many fewer boats than at Bugsworth in November. Lots of sigs were collected in Macc during the morning, and then at 2 we closed the canal at the Puss in Boots by the Hovis Mill. Sir Nick and Lady Ann Winterton were there, giving two MPs for the price of one, and the local press were present.
Encouraging point - many people when approached for sigs said they were already aware of the campaign. Alarming point - others when asked to sign, said "Certainly, what's it about?" in some cases whilst actually signing. Many congrats to Roger and Yvonne Olver, who must have invested vast amounts of time (and a lot of Corex) to organising the event.
