Sorry if this is a little off subject but it might be of interest to some.
The global light pollution survey is being run for this year. It is design to
be simple and quick and the more input they get from you, me and everyone the
better they can see how much pollution there is worldwide. The simple
instructions (as in simple enough for children from 5 to 105to follow) can be
found at <a www.globe.gov/GaN >. When you go there you will find that the UK is
one of the countries involved in the survey and (a rare thing for our gov) you
take part free!
