How long did it take you to train her?

As anyone who's ever had a bull terrier will tell you----forever! Walking her
[always on my left] I would stop at *every* kerb & issue "sit." Eventually, she
would, but, at another kerb maybe only moments later, it was as if you'd never
said a thing!
"Bullies" are supremely obstinate & the owner has to learn to be more so if
they are to get the better of the dog. as all dog owners will tell you though,
the amount of pleasure they give you & the unconditional love imparted more
than makes up for any shortfall in behaviour.
Still thinking about Dorothy's veiled [but quite correct]
reprimand re clearing up after your dog. I always ensured that Bess "went" in
the gutter. In those days the road-sweeping vehicles were round a lot more
regularly than they are today, a bit like canal dredgers. Today of course the
incidence of parked cars often prevents any effective action, even if they do
the rounds!

P.S. check out "My bull terrier on fire" on youtube! Absolutely typical bully
antics, what my dog breeder warned me about as a "mad five minutes!"
