Certainly, and you can use your own hot air :-) > 2) if, as a 2nd choice, we arrive by boat > a) are there special Avon licences Yes there are. From the registration form:- The Lower and Upper Navigation Trusts, who are supporting the event, have agreed to a short term licence concession to rally entrants only giving time to reach the site via their respective navigations. The fees will be collected and the licences issued by the Rally Committee. The period covered will be any 7 days including the Rally for the Lower Avon Navigation for £12.00; a joint licence to cover both navigations will be £24.00 The Rally Licence will not be valid outside this period or for boats not attending. The licence only covers the waterway you need to use to reach the Rally and return the same way. I require a short term licence for: *LOWER/COMBINED and enclose a cheque for *£12.00/£24.00 made payable to EVESHAM RIVER FESTIVAL (*delete not applicable). > b) what are the chances of safe moorings for Uncle Mort in Evesham, so > we can return to the G&S the following weekend ? LT will be back in Evesham by then. We have decided to leave KB and return to our own mooring on the Avon. Spending a fortune on upgrading the mooring to include lecci and sold mooring rods to attach LT to the very top of the mooring and prevent her moving back over land as happened in 1998. You are very welcome to pop UM on the outside, breasted up. > We'd like to fit this into our busy 2007 cruising schedule, even though > it will involve leaving the Severn and the need for self operation of > locks. Be a pleasure to see you in Evesham as always. The exercise will do you good :-) Regards, Andrew Web Site www.andrewdyke.co.uk Web Site www.mayorofevesham.co.uk
