There are blanking plugs and venting plugs fitted that might be sealed with O rings that have shrunk (just like the one's I found in my house recently). In the case of my house, though, it has a Combi boiler heating system that is permanently under pressure and so encourages leaks. Yours will not be permanently pressurised.
