I believe the gentleman died. A man who helps look after Stafford boat club was 
my source of info ( I was attending the awcc agm for wrg bc). Apparently the 
boat club provides access to the cottage, but I don't know if that would 
continue when the cottage is sold.
I can imagine that the lady wouldn't want a for sale board up. Every boater 
that went past would want a look.
