As the review suggests, this looks very like a waterway version of the excellent "Railway Game". The board even looks similar in the photo. So, it should be fun to play (for waterway nerds, of course). Incidentally, the RG is available with different boards, representing the maps of different countries. I assume that's a joke (I note the time of year), as most of the waterways, even in England let alone elsewhere, were built for craft bigger (i.e. wider) than narrow boats (thus "barges").
