No problem going up (north) or down the Stratford towpath, but the new bridge across the 'revived' link had steps (very dangerous in the dark as you don't expect them - I didn't and stepped into thin air) last time I went there, so it's not possible to get to the GU. The way down to the GU towpath at the Navigation is dangerously steep. There is also good access at Lowsonford (Fleur de Lys) It should be possible to get down to the north end of the Shrewley tunnel through the towpath tunnel (if you can find it!). The car-park at the bottom of Hatton is free and has good towpath access - there is also good access from the Blue Lias to the towpath at Stockton. Sean
