Dont knock the weather you could be living in Spain we have had a month of cold
wet and windy weather. The log burner is maintained on a 24 hour basis.The
solar water heater is useless. We are getting seriously SAD.Enjoy it while you

On a wonderfully sunny morning we punished ourselves by entering a cold and
damp Blisworth tunnel. We found ourselves following another boat whose crew
were vocally massacring Beatles classics whilst underground.
Once through and out in the sunshine again, I wanted to full with water outside
the Boat but the waterpoint was occupied by a Alvechurch hireboat. As we
prepared to lock to move onto the other waterpoint at the bottom of the flight,
the crew of said hireboat asked if they could share the locks with us. They
were mob handed with a swarm of juvenile crew and so Brenda went ahead to prep.
The next lock whilst I steered Jannock. After the 2nd lock our new friends
decided it was time to stop for lunch so we briefly continued alone through the
3rd and caught up another boat at the 4th.
Cleared the flight and filled with water before midday.
Once moving again, we were soon caught up by a small f'glass cruiser crewed by
a woman in a bikini and a bloke in skimpy swimming trunks. Don't they know it's
still April? Neither were of the age nor stature to make this a pleasant sight.
As we crawled through the many moored boats at Cosgrove, the steerer of a
Wyvern vessel heading north was so distracted by my google eye glasses upon my
hat that she drove her boat into the stern of a moored craft.
Once we'd moored for the day, I had to demo the Di Blasi to another boater
before heading off to fetch the car. We then headed home after an evening meal
on board.
