Have to agree Sue the money is best spent on the infrastructure than trying to extract cash from people that should really pay for their privileges. BUT I was prompted to read this thread after the Downing Street response. Maybe we should encourage a get one licence fee paid get one free as a Government Grant system to BW maybe they would make sure they all paid then. Are there stats about how much non payers are costing BW and maybe we should protest about the non payers as well as DEFRA cuts. Much more It's like Gift Aid pay your licence fee and get a 100% rebate from the Treasury. Oxfam might well be persuaded to kill for that ! Someone said about the "no reduction in cash funding". Surely Gordon Brown in his capacity as holder of the Big Visa card just goes to Waterscape.com finds their secure payment page and puts in his card number, expiry date and three digits off the signature strip and its done.
