Those of us in a certain department working for what some on this 
list term "the dark side" term the Wide Beam Vessels or WBV for 
short. If they are not a Dutch BArge (DBA) and are over 2.2m wide 
then they have to be a WBV as there is no other suitable description 
on the computer system. Narrowboats are listed as NAR and Cabin 
Cruisers as CCR which oddly enough in another bit of the programme 
also stands for Continuous CRuiser if you are using shortcut keys. 
HOP are Hoppers. ROW unsurprisingly are ROWing boats, and CAN are 
canoes whether or not they happen to be kyaks!

Too much useless information for tonight. I like Richard's 
description of fatboats. It would be novel having a salon where I 
can't touch the opposite walls with my bare hands whilst sitting in 
the middle of the room. Coooo, I might even have room for a sofa and 
a guest bed!!!! There's a thought ...
