Prairie Crocus was raring to go when I clambered put onto the back deck just
before 9 this morning. I was not too enthusiastic because the weather forecast
had been for a dull damp day and it had rained during the night. As it turned
out, it stated dry until we had winded and moored up opposite the Old Barge in
Hertford.

The Official Jannock views on boating the Lee and Stort way :-
Likes.
A broad deep waterway with a variety of scenery.
Leaving the gates open as you leave a lock.
Having to slow down to 4 MPH to pass moored boats (official sign at Hertford
lock)

Dislikes.
Following someone else who us enjoying leaving the gates open.
Very heavy lock gates with loose, cranked balance beams.
I will add to this list as I traverse the Stort bit tomorrow.
