That bloke Graham said 'We had a similar issue when BW wanted a 28% rise for
our mooring at Cropredy. they stated it was due to it being underpriced
because there were over 20 people on each waiting list for the Cropredy Old
Mill, Central and North online moorings. When we questioned how many of
those people were on all three lists in order to get a place in Cropredy,
they refused to answer our question.'

At that meeting it was also suggested that if we didn't like the price hike
why couldn't we, and the couple on a pension who'd run Cropredy Stores for
years, and who were part of the community, just move our boats somewhere
cheaper like Yorkshire?
Both of us moved from what we believe to be overpriced moorings. When we
next met the guy who'd made this suggestion he was surprised we'd done what
we said we'd do, and then asked why....duh! Do they listen, do they
understand, will a villa in Spain be a better bet despite carbon-airmiles?
Wouldn't take much longer to get to than Yorkshire.
Now, let me see... who has their boat in France or Ireland now?
Are the Old Mill moorings at Cropredy full again (excluding those of our
erstwhile neighbours who were not paying at all) does anyone know?
If a boater pays no license, how is BW going to include them in this
percentage game? Official moorings to the highest bidder, and every
incentive to avoid paying altogether- but stay on moorings.
