My first ever narrowboat trip back in 1986 was on the Wey & we got fed up with
all the "Wey" puns. How refreshing one day for us to see a boat called [& this
may not be 100% accurate, time & distance etc.] "Sausage, bacon, beans,
tomatoes, fried slice--no egg." Priceless!! The whole transom was covered in
lettering! :-))
By the way [wey] Mike, did you see parallels in my account of attempting to
get on the Basingstoke Canal that I sent you??
