I recently had a survey done on a lock cottage done (no prizes for guessing which one but it is on the S&W and has no mains power :-) ) where the surveyor suggested that the bywash would be an excellent source of power via a turbine. I've not pursued it yet but maybe I will now that I know that... Steve NB Bream
