I encourage all those that can do so to cruise the Wyrley and Essington to help keep the channel clear. Restoration of the Lichfield canal is making great advances and in the future Ogley Jcn will be a common destination. The W&E is not as bad as is often read, recently having made a passage in a deep drafted working boat no problems were encountered between Wolverhampton and Norton Canes.
