There have been a couple of important changes to the Belgian regulations that came into force at the beginning of this year.
1) recreational craft must not fly the red flag with inset white square anymore as the flag is now reserved purely for commercial vessels. 2) recreational craft longer than 15m in lenght must have a minimum of two persons onboard capable of working the craft, i.e. single handed working is not allowed anymore. The Belgian boating federations have finally woken up to the fact that you need two fixed ATIS vhf radios onboard. They are pressurising the Government to change the law but I'm not sure how successful they will be. Will post any further news when it's available. -- Regards Michael Clarke Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.petroleumblownaparte.eu/
