A good fraction of those 22 boats are stuck on the wrong side of Glos
Lock and look unlikely to make it. The problems with Lydney gates seem
to have been resolved. Sharpness Lock is apparently still not sorted, so
BW are restricting movements somewhat. However, the Saturday trip over
still sounds possible - there are at least a handful of boats planning
to go.

I'm a bit iffy about going over at the moment - more accurately, the
family are getting cold feet. Kate spent the last trip over in the well
deck with her head in a bucket, and doesn't want to repeat the
experience. She says seeing her dinner once is all that's needed.
Daughter has found something better to do. Son is probably up for it
still, unless there's anything he wants to watch on the telly.

Current forecast is for only marginally acceptable wind speeds on
Saturday, although Sunday is looking good for the return.

Wassail!
