We are still here. Oasis Too is still upright, and trapped on the sluice. It should rest nicely on the walkway, and is already up a foot. http://imageigloo.com/images/6008OasisToo.jpg There is another boat - Gribbitt thats half trapped on land near the leisure centre. http://imageigloo.com/images/5807Gribbitt.jpg It does look like it will be mostly supported on the land - but I guess we will see as the level drops. The water level is nearly down to the landing stage, but it is going down slowly now. We got off for the first time since Friday yesterday for a nice meal in the pub. I had the Sweet and Sour chicken which was nice. Julie, and Dad had a walk around yesterday afternoon to find some shopping, and while there was no milk or bread, they didn't do too bad with other things. Apparently the village lost power for a little while on Saturday, but it was only a couple of hours so nothing was spoilt. There is now only one road out of the village as the road across pershore bridge is closed both due to flooding, and weak road. A tree came by today and tried to steal our mudweight, so we had quite a job to pull the tree out of the water and recover the mudweight on the rope. Lots of rubbish trapped on the silly mesh fence below the lock, which is more of a danger to boaters than not. http://imageigloo.com/images/7283PershoreLockDebris.jpg It looks like it will be awhile yet before we can get away. -- Michael Askin http://shoestring_DOT_zapto_DOT_org/
