Hi Neil, I was one of the first members of the SVR,
(In the days of the station being shut but illegal drinking going on all day in 
the refreshment room)
If thay saw the police coming across the footbridge they ran across the tracks 
& through the fields to escape.
We worked hard at weekends digging out drainage ditches & weed killing on the 
tracks for a few years.
Then the only members who were noticed were those who would donate lots of 
money.
The picture below is a rail cart we modified  for powered use (and me looking 
much younger)
