For the those contemplating setting off down here:
We spoke to the EA staff at Irthlingborough Lock this morning.
Titchmarsh Lock is still reversed, and the river about a foot above
normal levels there.
A lot depends on how much rain actually falls into the catchment
tonight. If it's not too bad, the SSA could come off in 24 to 48 hours.
Upstream of here is passable, but the river is still running strongly
in places, such as Wellingborough Embankment.
If you are on the river above us here at Rushden and Diamonds, feel
free to call me to discuss the situation, though I won't have anything
to add before tomorrow now.
