John Gwalter has already posted the sad news to uk.rec.waterways. I would also wish to add my condolences, The news I got this morning was the biggest shock that I have recieved in many a year. I have known Mike as a friend and worked on IWA and Canal Museum committees with him for the best part of 25 years and it doesn't seem conceivable that he will no longer be there. Knowing how much he was looking forward to full retirement and a life contiuously cruising (He had just retired most of his committee work and sold their London flat) I am just glad that he had at least some time to enjoy his dream. A sad loss indeed. Tim
