The name escapes me. It was from Skipton, and was the most remarkable
boat ever - there was no insulation at all, and the bed frames were
welded onto the hull so as to conduct the maximum cold from the outside
to your body.

It had then been spay painted throughout before the basic furnishings
were added. It felt more like a cross-channel ferry than a canal boat.

This was an expedition of the Leeds University Canals! Society - so we
managed to consume enough beer to make the cold nights bearable.

BW always sent our press releases to the Leeds University Canals[
Society, which told many of us what make of computer they were using at
the time.

The rest of the family were on Mintball and heading from Crooke down
towards Liverpool. They, too, found it a bit difficult - particularly
getting pinned to the sides at swing bridges, but they too have steered
in worse.

Soft southern jessies making a big fuss, if you ask me.
