Has anyone got any information on any Widdop Diesel Engines c1926. Or has anyone got any information of where archive documentation may be held.
I am researching information of a Widdop Diesel Propulsion that was fitted to Manchester (a Duker), formerely a steam tug built 1874 which was converted by Bridgewater Department of the Manchester Ship Canal in either 1926 or 1927 and is currently at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum (I am doing the research on their behalf). This is one of the boats that was recovered from the flashes on the Trent and Mersey north of Middlewich. I am also looking for any information relating to the contract for clearing the flashes.
