There is no need to rush around the canals but my wife and I ( we share 156
years ) take a pride in working a lock flight efficiently and competently and
could knock off Audlem and Adderley in 3 hours and have done so in the past. On
a good day we could do the twelve locks at Bosley going up in 1 hour 20 mins
and down in 1hour 10 mins now we are lucky to do it in either direction in
under 2 hours and have often taken over 3 hours and on one ocassion it took 4
hours. Changing times I'm afraid. CKP
