I have been watching the growing number of contributors to the above threads
and the rising level of exasperation (put mildly).
Is any one really surprised by any of these situations.
The IWA letter to the MP is just a rehash of the SOW campaign letters not
more than 18 months or less ago! and that was so successful in altering
Government Policy in fact we now have cuts upon the original cuts.
If I had put half as much effort into the SOW as some people both on this
newsgroup and elsewhere I would be feeling pretty cheesed off now.
I don't think its much of a surprise that the Government's so called
giveaways on Inheritance Tax, Basic Rate tax, additional moneys for Flood
Defence works etc don't bite until the financial year 2010 -2011.
Watch the spin in the meantime to plug the gaps and raise additional revenue
from other sources!
