You will need a separate one.

Buy a pipe thermostat at any plumbing store for about 10 quid.  Attach
it to the outlet (hot) pipe from the water jacket as close as possible
to your heater.  Wire it to switch the pump on and off.  

The pump should cycle every few minutes, not just when the fire comes
in or goes out.  When the pump turns on, it will soon empty the water
jacket of hot water, replacing it with cold(er) return water, and so
will turn off when some of the cold(er) water gets into the outlet.
