Can't say that they connect to computers, but the best mobile deal we found in Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand (Sept. through Nov.) was in the UK with Mobile World. Their pre-paid SIM card price was 15 pence a minute in the UK and only 5 pence a minute to Canada.
I started a travel recommendation section on my website http://websrus.ca/worldphones.html . UK folk can deal with Mobile World in most large towns. Off-shore customers can either deal with MW directly or via a link on my webpage. In one instance I was able to use my North American credit card through their online system while my NA card was rejected when I tried again for another phone. Of course, the MW shops will take most credit cards. Oh,........ no..... I don't have shares in MW. In contrast, I paid 89 cents a minute in New Zealand (the most expensive place for mobiles).
