[canals-list] Dog in a Doublet to Thorney.

Can anyone here tell me any history on the short waterway between the
Dog in a Doublet and Thorney? It looks to be a canal. I can't find any
trace of it beyond Thorney. Did it terminate there?
   It looks like the waterway joined the Nene via a lock chamber. The
walls of the chamber still exist.
 My internet searches on this waterway turn up very little. Anything
to satisfy my curiosities would be appreciated.
