I live on a boat, therefore I am not short of friends. Good example - we
have son, d-in-law and new grandson coming to see us over New Year,
plus daughter. This stretches our accommodation on Sanity a bit, so we
asked Braidbar if we could borrow a berth on Skye, the hire boat, for
the night.

Not only did they say "sure, of course" but when we called in at the
yard this morning, Iain Bryceland said "Oh by the way, we started Skye
up yesterday just to make sure she'll be OK for you at New Year, here's
the keys in case we forget later"

That's friends for you. (Not to mention where we started this - RE/ED is
still dispensing advice to me by email, what a good fella)

Well that started another thread off, didn't it?

Nah, not really - I reckon you deserve each other, you lucky things.
