Just for interest I've just checked through a couple of topics with very long reply threads and can only find about two or three names that I recognise actually posting and one reference to (but no posting from) another known name who I see on uk.rec.waterways? As I've been posting on this group for years and have a reasonable memory I would have thought that I would recognise more posters than the few that I've found if you are correct. In fact, looking through the threads, it was noticeable how 'few' names I recognised. Roger I read both lists but I find this one (on the whole) more interesting and informative. OK there are few on here who seem to delight in going off topic (nothing wrong with that) and talking a load of drivel which is of little general interest . However, I find that CWF has a high number of "old hands" who seem to take great delight in bullying and mocking newer members. I would stop looking at it (I in fact do this from time to time when it gets too out of hand) but there are a few who do post interesting items. I think most of the problems on CWF are caused by the fact that posters can remain anonymous. I think if real names were used (as they are in the main here) then the aggressiveness and bullying would stop. Just my thoughts, Ann
