How long before the requirement for a pilot is waived? Shades of the short-lived L&L gate paddle competency test debacle again? nvolved. If the main concerns over unescorted passage are over access to the live rail tunnels, could these not be gated to prevent access from the canal tunnel? I gather there have been a couple of unescorted (and completely unauthorized) boat passages through Standedge recently ;-) Andrew
