Subject: [canals-list] replacement vacuum?

hi all

Our little Dirt Devil hand held hoover expired the other day. Couldn't find a
direct replacement for it. What I did find was a small one sold by the Draper
tool company. It's a bagless one and one of the good things is it has a 600
watt motor so good for running from the small genny. Model is VC600.

The even better thing was I found a localish supplier, Joesph Gleave, tool
merchants in Stretford Manchester. It got even better when I rang to check if
they had one, they have a good few of them and are selling them off at a
discount. They are charging £18 plus VAT, the normal retail price is £29. They
bought a pallet load a while ago so what them out of the way.

If you travel the Bridgewater Canal Joesph Gleaves is about 20 yards from the
Longford road bridge, no 39, so very handy.

Hope this is of interest to some one if the market for a new sucking machine
