Hmm, describes some of the boaters who use it as well!   ;-)
 
Apparently BW have a couple of boat-counting devices and they have  
discovered that 50% of boats turn just after Shackerstone (don't forget the  
Battlefield Railway!), but I think the last few miles are probably the  
prettiest.
 
When I did the trip a year or do back, there was a small shop at the  end of 
the navigation run by the Ashby Canal society who are working on  restoring 
the rest of the route. If you leave your details (name, address, boat)  there, 
the society send you a certificate to prove you got there.
 
And there's the battlefield of Bosworth Field. It took us about 4 hours to  
walk the site, go in the museum, have a cup of tea, buy souvenirs, etc - about  
1½ hours longer than the battle itself!
