Date - 27/04/08
Day - Sunday
Start - 1030 Wendover arm end
End - 1430 North Church

We woke to a bright sunny morning tucked right in at the end of the
Wendover Arm. There is only one problem mooring in this spot, the farmer
has a dun heap from his horses just the other side of the hedge. As it
was such a nice I decided to give the pigeon box a coat of Sadolin, I
hadn't finished it more than 10 minutes when the sky darkened, the
thunder rumbled and the rain fell and continued while we made our way
back along the arm and down the Grand Union canal, we pulled in for
water at Bullborn and by the time we had finished the rain stopped and
remained fine for the rest of the days travels. A Wyvern hire boat
caught us up just before Cowroast and we shared the next few locks until
we both moored at North Church just before 2 30 pm. It was a 65ft 4
berth boat complete with a bowthruster. One of the coupes onboard had
hired 13 times in the past and he said this was by far the best boat
they had ever hiered.
