I took the dog for a walk by the Thames near Henley last night.
I saw six narrowboats (two moving) and a wooden sailing boat
called (IIRC) Cornish Shrimper, which was tied up but had
motored off when I walked back. There were also numerous
sculls and eights, etc. about.
I didn't see a single gin-palace or any kind of plastic
boat at all. Are they all weekenders?
I saw Lady Elgar, late of this parish (or its predecessor).
Is he still here?
