Bad form to respond to one's own postings, but the boat manager has
just rung me to say he's had a call from BW. They removed a tyre that
had got wedged in Whitsunday Pie Lock so that one should be OK.

As far as Retford Town Lock is concerned, BW are (apparently) planning
on fixing the towpath side ground paddle on Monday which may mean stop
planks and a stoppage whilst the work is carried out.

If I hear owt else, I'll post it...
