Ours won't and looking at boats in our Marina most of them wouldn't given the
cabin width at roof level. Anyway the tunnel 'getting higher'  was only a
bi-product of other BW machinations. BW were spending money fixing leaks with
the main one into the Copper works. (Who might have sued?) Having spent a large
sum of money they refilled the canal and went away. Soon after a boater pointed
out that the leak was still there - so BW (it is alleged) dropped the level a
bit, put in a pump and announced the work had been (mostly) to make the tunnel
higher. Then they got some bod along to have a grand opening in standard BW way
of deflecting blame from wasting money.

Did you try the tunnel? The profile is very pessimistic. We (CUCT) have
encouraged people to try it if they are close to the profile and to send
us photos which I put onto the website. At the moment only one of the
photos is of a boat that has not fit through and it's mine :-(

If anyone is interested, look at <www.cuct.org. uk/caldon/ froghall. shtml>
Further contributions/ stories gratefully received.
