On a three lane road which has two lanes in one direction and one in the other direction but only separated by a double white line what is the speed limit in the two lane section. I've done searches on the net but can't come up with a definitive answer. If you look at _http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/speedmanagement/speedknowyourlimits_ (http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/speedmanagement/speedknowyourlimits) pages 9 and 11, page 9 gives the speed limits for different vehicle types on different classifications of road. Page 11 clearly defines a three lane road with traffic travelling in two directions not separated by a reservation as a single carriageway road.
